The Location
The
site of the new nursery is adjacent to the York
Maze on Elvington Lane
in York. It is a beautiful 19th century farmhouse and
makes a perfect home for an organic children’s nursery. The farm was an organic
farm ten years ago and was registered with the Soil Association. The grounds are being designed to include a
sensory garden, spaces for play, exploration and reflection, and a kitchen
garden. Wildlife and biodiversity are being encouraged.
Little
Green Rascals will be opening at Dunnington Lodge on Elvington Lane, York, YO19 5LT. The old Farm House is being converted into a
ready made Private Day Nursery that eventually hold upto 80 children.
The
nursery occupies a site next door the popular York
Maze and on the main road between Elvington and the Hull Road and is easily accessible from
both the East of York and its surrounding villages – Elvington, Dunnington,
Wheldrake and Sutton on Derwent.
