Set in the very heart of the beautiful City of York is 7 Minster Yard, home to the first City Centre Little Green Rascals Organic Day Nursery. On the site of The Minster School, this unique and inspiring location truly is a place where children can spend magical days enjoying everything that this beautiful city has to offer. Opened in September 2018 – 7 Minster Yard cares for 31 children each day.

The nursery is managed by Amanda Boocock and a team of highly qualified staff, who care for children aged from birth to pre-school. The setting hosts 2 floors - each a caring for a progression in age, each has its own messy play, soft play, small world and reading areas as well as separate rooms for restful sleep. They also have their own private garden which includes a mud kitchen and lawned area.

Fresh organic produce is prepared daily onsite by trained chefs and menus are rotated every 16 days to ensure that the children have variety. Nappies, creams and ointments all remain organic or ethically sourced and where possible, homeopathic and natural remedies are used for minor ailments such as teething and snuffles.

7 Minster Yard is the perfect location for city centre adventures and explorations with regularly outings to all that the wonderful city has to offer – learning history at one of the museums, a sweet treat at Bettys or feeding the squirrels in the Museum Gardens, the children are always getting out and about, come rain or shine. Forest School is practised in the Minster Gardens and other optional extra-curricular activities include Science classes, Yoga, Drama, French and Spanish lessons, ballet and lots of other sporty classes which are all great fun. Parent/Carer partnerships are key at Little Green Rascals where they offer many avenues of communication such as newsletters, nursery software which is accessible by a smart phone and a very open door policy.
